Just went to the pharmcy to pick up some lactase tablets and discovered they do indeed have those reading glasses things. In a moment of desperation, I started trying them all on. I've got a headache and I'm probably going to vomit.

Waiting for two weeks without glasses is definitely preferable to the chemist's reading glasses.

I found my old glasses. The prescription is 15 years out of date, they are heavy and badly scratched, but they are soooooooooo much better than not seeing!

They also don't have glare compensation as I bought them when I was a poor studenty type and had no money for such things, so they aren't ideal for walking around town. But yay, I can see!

So do I - they make me really nervous because they are incredibly light & thin!
