'Chonks'?

I think that was what my teacher called it :D

You stand on tippy toes and do hip lifts/drops. Except you want to restrict the amount you move your knees when doing the move.

Does anyone know what I'm on about ;)

But, what I don't understand so much is how not to move my knees so much . So does that mean I am to lift my whole leg (so from tip toes, so like the very ends of my feet) but if I do that my whole body just goes up so the 'pop' isn't so controlled.

Any ideas?

Chionks/Hip Down Locks

Keti Sharif uses that term to describe hip down locks. This move was made famous by Soheir Zaki. Instead of traditional hip drop where one foot is usually on ball and the entire hip does a vertical drop from the hip socket. The hip down locks start from a stationary postion with both feet flat(however it came be done in releve),the hip travels down by releasing the oblique muscles(side muscles) and releasing the knee down on the side of the working hip. So the downward accent is horizontal down than a vertical down. To create the sharp accent, simply contract the glutes and quads as the hip dips down.
