My girlfriend sent me this information about her friend Alia Thabit's new book project entitled Midnight at the Crossroads: Has Belly Dance Sold it's Soul? She said it is 40 years in the making. Her comment that "It's a timely topic, especially if you are committed to improvising to live music and are interested in the cultural roots of this dance. "
