zills were that hardest part for me to learn, and i never used to play them during performances. but i forced myself to use them, even if i only played them for one song during the whole performance. eventually i got the hang of them. now i can't perform without them! they help keep my rhythm and are a good attention grabber (especially in busy restaurants). sometimes i dance to a live band, and we usually are good at working with each other. the zills are just another instrument and sometimes we can play off each other, creating a good dancer-musician relationship on stage(or any setting).
