Here's something I found kind of fun -- if you've studied with a lot of instructors, how many letters of the alphabet do they represent?

I have:

A - Aziza
B - Bahaia
C - Conchi
D - Delilah
E
F - Frank Farinaro
G
H - Hadia
I
J
K - Karim Nagi
L - Leila Gamal
M - Morroco
N - Nashwa
O - Oreet
P
Q
R - Ranya Renee
S - Shareen el Safy
T - Tito
U
V
W
X
Y
Z - Zahra Zuhair

A LOT of instructors are named with A, S, and M. I'm really concerned about finding one that starts with X though! LOL.

Want to play? What's your list? You can also make it of dancers you admire or someday hope to study with!

This looks like fun! But to find an X you might have to take a workshop with a Greek dancer doing Greek dancing, and that is very rare indeed.

There's an X at Fantasia in London this December! Xenia Preveziotis teaching Lebanese...

I'm going to have to think about this one.

sorry, didn't think of the one teacher per letter rule. It was quite nice to try to remember all the people. Some were very clear in my mind while others were a bit forgotten. I've never made a resume as I don't dance professionally so it was pretty cool to make the list.

Play the game however you want :) -- my silly goal is to have a workshop with someone from all letters - lol.

I have another list of the American states, and my goal is to take a workshop in all of them (or at least the continental 48.) I think I have 8 states so far. :)

Oh, okay - cool!

I'm already seeing names I don't know, and googling them -- now I want to fly all over the world and study with some of you girls' A-Zs :)

When you come to Wyoming for a workshop, call me and we'll get together. Of course, given the number of available workshops in Wy... call me when you get to Colorado! :D
