Christina Gadea is the Farhana look-alike. :D

For serious I thought it was her until her performance & I noticed the complete lack of tats & different face shape. Gorgeous all round!

I really really loved LaUra and Cristina (especially their outfits) they were definitely my favorites. It was really awesome to see so many different people dance, although some of them were really really briefly, and just see the variation that you can have in a handful of people. I will admit I was distracted by the black bike shorts as well.

Yeah, I decided to take that time for myself and watch it, so I can come back and some more time discussing it with you guys! It was a great episode, so those of you haven't watched it - do!

Now to the ones who have watched it

SPOILER ALERT!

The choreography task is so difficult, 9 people trying to find common ground must be terribly complicated. I applaud the girls for being able to do that. And I think the selection of the "best" team members was sooo cute.

There are a few dancers I liked, but there are too many to remember all their names. Can you imagine how difficult it must be to dance for such a panel of judges!?

Cristina and Sa'diyya are my favourites so far - great dancers and gorgeous costumes. Some of the dance clips were very brief, though. I hope they upload the full performances soon.

I have to watch it again. So many great dancers I can't remember them all.

The judges seemed to get more "on air" time this year. I like that. Their comments are very educational.

That's funny. I didn't see it at all. Probably everyone has different things they notice in an appearance which make us connect to people in different ways. Not sure if that sentence made any sense... ;)

I loved the show just as I loved the first one! I thought all the dancers were beautiful, and the judges picked my favorite ones to go onto the next round.

SPOILER ALERT
My favorite ones were actually the ones I already knew. LaUra is very known and respected locally, and a beautiful dancer and performer. I actually thought her performance there didn't really do her dancing justice, so I look forward to seeing her more in future episodes.

Dalida is another wonderful one. She taught at Yousry Sharif's latest intensive in NYC, she had to replace the dancer Aida Bogomolova who was unable to come because she couldn't get a visa. Aida is my favorite dancer so I was very disappointed she didn't come, but even with my high expectations Dalida blew me away. I don't think you could see just how amazing she is in the show, either... hopefully the future cuts of her will do her justice.

I saw this clip of Elena Faye last year and it blew me away! I haven't seen her dance in person yet, but I'm sure I will. Her dancing is really unique and top-notch. In the show, they only showed her for a few seconds, and only her intro.

Lastly, there's Sadiyya! She is simply amazing... she is what I would call "world class." She's the whole package and her technique is juicy and flawless. I was surprise to see her speak, she seems so young and cute in the speaking bits... but when she dances she looks very mature and womanly. I thought that was an interesting contrast.
In any case, here's a full video of her

There were a few I didn't know beforehand that I really liked, but don't remember their names. Plus, as I could tell from the dancers I already knew before, it's hard to judge based on those clips. You need to see full videos of them dancing to get a better picture. Hopefully by the second episode, with less dancers, we will be able to get a better idea of what each one is like.

They're all so good! I have a question, though, is that a twisting 3/4 shimmy that Stephanie is doing right before they cut to her interview snippet? Or is it a grapevine with a shimmy? Either way I'm intrigued!

Also, I don't remember who it was, but the dancer who zilled was fantastic!
