Family Values

Perhaps in all this, everything the complexities of it all it is worth bearing in mind that what we are dealing with be it religion be it whatever is politics and to understand what is going on , what motives are at work one needs to strip it all down to the absolute basics and see what they have and see if it is anything different than power struggles, the will of people to dominate others, which I understand is pretty primitive and can be succinctly phrased as 'top dog' in the pack that is human kind. But of top dog that wants to stay top dog, what is top dog likely to do to maintain his position, does divide and conquer come into the equation, does making examples of smaller and weaker possible opponents feature.

But look the world is in a financial mess, the so called Global economy is hanging on for dear life and this fact on how it is impacted people world wide tends to focus one's attention intently on the subject of money and money generation and exactly what is at work in our world where money is concerned and there I understand the poverty that Erik speaks of, the immigration and the unemployment is all down to money and someone somewhere is getting very wealthy on a lot of peoples misery and hardship, because you can bet your bottom dollar if you have one, that if poverty, unemployment and immigration was a money spinner, there wouldn't be much of it, but it is my guess that for a minority to be wealthy therefore there has to be a majority of people in poverty and with that my understanding of many of the wars our countries gets involved with, many of them are more to do with trade than anything else and trade on favourable terms.

It could be all this in fighting that goes on amongst us is by design, divide and conquer being exacted through all levels of society, everyone scrabbling over what they can get more than anyone else, basically dog eat dog. Surely we should have learned by now, we can be better than this ?

Erik's Final Thoughts

Love? Just wondering how evil and horrible one must be in order to be immune from the effects of love.

Darth Vader In Love - YouTube

These are Erik's Final Thoughts. [I may not be as deep and profound as Springer, but hey, who is?]

Not being from Nevada, I never heard of Elizabeth Halseth before this photo she posed for, and I have no idea how closely her values coincide with mine, but I do know that women have been posing for bikini pictures since the 1950's, swimsuit pictures since the 1920's, and bathing suit pictures since the 1890's, and I have found no evidence of any conflict with family values.

Note: Two-piece female swimsuits existed in the 1930's but they cannot be called bikinis because of their construction. Before the 1920's they cannot be called swimsuits because they were too heavy and totally impractical for swimming.

I didn't start this thread to smoke out the socialist. I started it because I was dumbfounded by the sarcastic association attempted, but now I think most people are smart enough to see it for what it really is. If Christians are in opposition to sex, where do all those little Christians keep coming from? Borrowing a line from Natalie Merchant, I think Liz is a "challenge to their balance." And so am I. :D

EDIT --- Wonder - YouTube

Directed by Jake Scott, son of the great Ridley Scott.

:lol::D

Well I got lost with all the big words here but I love that line.

I'm not religious, a politician, philosopher or a highly educated person. That lady in the bikini did no wrong in my eyes. So what if the lady wants to feel sexy once in her life. Enjoy life while your still breathing and don't worry about what others have to say.

I also think "Parties" are a MAJOR part of the problem.

Something to understand about parties, unless one is a paid up member of a particular party, that party does not represent you. Sure, you can vote for whoever you please, be it an independent or a party candidate, but in giving your support to the latter, say they get into power and do things you don't like, well what they are doing is representing their party and doing what is in the interest of their party members, not anyone else.

The solution to parties, is don't vote for them, unless they represent your interest.
